Introducing: The Pie Sisters

It’s true, The Pie Sisters have arrived.  With just a click on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Smashwords, you too can own your very own paperback or e-copy of the newest title from Leigh Brown and Victoria Corliss.

The Pie Sisters is not our first collaboration. That title belongs to Second Chances, our debut novel published in 2013. All the same, our new book is very special to us and we hope it impresses you too.

As the title infers, The Pie Sisters is the story of three sisters. Though bonded by blood, Shelby, Yeardley, and Lily Lane, are three uniquely different young women.

Shelby, the eldest, is a born leader and self-appointed caretaker of the people in her life. Smart and decisive, she thinks she can do it all. Middle child, Yeardley, is a ship without an anchor, not quite sure of where she’s going or where she belongs. And Lily, the baby of the family, is so accustomed to people doing things for her she’s never had to do anything for herself. But that’s about to change.

At their Aunt Nola’s lake cottage where they spent their childhood summers, the girls return to a special place and time filled with familiar faces and favorite traditions. It’s a walk down memory lane for the sisters, but it may also help to define their uncertain futures as well.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Canandaigua in New York’s Finger Lakes region, The Pie Sisters is a timeless tale of love, family, and the true meaning of home.

The Pie Sisters is an incredibly personal story for both of us. For many years, Leigh spent summers with her family at a lakeside camp in Maine. Victoria still enjoys spending time at her aunt’s home on Lake Canandaigua. In writing this book, we relied heavily on many of our own happy memories of these times. We sprinkled them generously throughout the story ultimately transforming the lake itself into a central character of quiet self-reflection. One thing important to both of us was that we honor our own lakeside summers by staying true to our personal memories and experiences. We hope we did them justice.

The Pie Sisters is also a story about family, and all the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes with being a part of something so precious. It is the story of three strong women eager to make their own destinies but uncertain of where or how to start. In short, The Pie Sisters is a novel readers can connect with, relate to, and simply enjoy. We hope you will.  Happy reading.
